At Hoogtij Open-Air, we believe an unforgettable festival experience doesn’t have to come at the expense of our planet. Music brings people together, and we want to use that energy to make a positive difference. That’s why we’re taking steps to make Hoogtij a greener and more sustainable festival.

Less waste, more party ♻️

A great festival shouldn’t leave behind a mountain of waste. Throughout the festival site, we encourage everyone to keep Hoogtij clean and dispose of waste responsibly. By reducing unnecessary packaging, sorting our waste and making conscious choices, we aim to keep our footprint as small as possible.

And of course, we need your help too! Use the designated bins, leave nothing behind and help us keep the festival grounds clean.

Reusable is the way to go 🥤

Single-use plastics? We’re not a fan. Wherever possible, Hoogtij chooses reusable and more sustainable alternatives. From the bar to the food area, we’re constantly looking for ways to reduce unnecessary waste without compromising your festival experience.

Because the best thing to take home after Hoogtij is a great memory — not a pile of plastic.

Our green mindset doesn’t stop at the bar. Our Hoogtij merchandise is created with sustainability in mind. We aim for responsible materials and merchandise that you’ll actually want to wear long after the festival is over.

Think before you travel 🚲

How you get to the festival matters too. Whenever possible, we encourage our visitors to come by bike, use public transport or share a ride with friends.

Coming by bike isn’t just the greener option: no traffic jams, no parking stress and your journey home is already sorted.

Hoogtij Open-Air is more than just a festival. The event is connected to Zeescouts Jan Bart, and the proceeds help support activities and camps for our youth members.

By joining us at Hoogtij, you’re not only enjoying a day filled with music and good vibes — you’re also supporting our scouts and helping us create new experiences for young people.
